Dictate emails faster on your Mac

A full inbox means a lot of typing — replies, follow-ups, the same explanations over and over. Eko is a system-wide Mac app that lets you dictate emails directly into Apple Mail, Gmail in the browser, Outlook, or Superhuman: press a shortcut, speak your reply, and it’s typed into the compose window. You can then clean up the tone before you hit send, all without leaving your inbox.

How Eko helps

Speak replies instead of typing them

Press ⌥D and talk through your reply. Eko types it straight into the compose window in Mail, Gmail, Outlook or Superhuman — no dictation app to switch to.

Fix tone before you hit send

Dictated replies can read as blunt or rushed. Select the text and press ⌥C to fix grammar, or ⌥F to ask AI to make it more formal, warmer, or shorter — right in the email.

Reply in someone else’s language

Press ⌥T to translate a reply in place for an international client or colleague. Eko supports 25 languages, so you don’t need a separate translation tab.

Works with any email client

Apple Mail, Gmail, Outlook, Superhuman, Spark — Eko isn’t a plugin for one inbox. The same shortcut dictates and fixes text in whichever client you use.

FAQ

Does Eko work with Gmail in the browser?

Yes. Eko types into any focused text field, including Gmail’s compose window in Chrome, Safari, or any browser — no extension required.

Does it work with Superhuman?

Yes — Eko works system-wide, so it dictates into Superhuman’s compose window the same way it does in Mail, Gmail, or Outlook.

Can Eko change the tone of an email?

Yes. Select your dictated draft and press ⌥F to ask AI to make it more formal, friendlier, or more concise — the rewritten version replaces the selection in place.

Is my email content private?

It can be. Eko can run fully on-device with a local model so your dictation never leaves your Mac, or you can use your own API key for cloud transcription.

What does Eko cost?

Eko is $39 once, no subscription — including dictation, correction, translation, ask-AI, screen vision, and app-launching.
